Nearly four hours: that’s how long Jay-Z’s Yankee Stadium concert was delayed after a security breach, turning a three-night stand into a very messy finale.

Jay-Z’s Yankee Stadium finale turned into a four-hour wait

Jay-Z’s third and most hotly anticipated concert at Yankee Stadium on Sunday night hit a nearly four-hour delay, apparently after fans rushed the venue’s gates and got past security without being screened. A full lockdown followed, with fans kept from going in or out for an extended period. When Jay finally took the stage after midnight, he told the crowd, “I got some shit for you, I promise you,” which is one way to salute a stadium full of people who have been marinating in chaos since the listed start time. The online fallout included a video appearing to show A$AP Rocky, Charlamagne Tha God and Fabolous waiting outside, with the caption, “Wow even celebrities are stuck outside the last Jay Z yankee stadium show tonight 😭.”

Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane are launching a shorts-only YouTube channel

Indian filmmakers Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane are backing Ravi Muppa’s short film “Incognito” as the debut release on a new shorts-only YouTube channel called Oh Flip Shorts, launching July 15. The channel comes via producer Ranjan Singh, with Kashyap serving as curator, and the plan is to release a fresh short each month. “Incognito” stars Vikram Singh, Ayushi Nema and Dev Chauhan, and follows a motel receptionist who makes money selling hidden-camera footage before getting pulled into a moral crisis after filming a woman who appears to be a trafficking victim. The short has already screened at more than 20 international festivals, including Palm Springs International ShortFest, and a feature-length version is already underway.
