MGM+’s The Westies is a gangster drama about rule-breakers that keeps coloring inside the lines
The series is built around people who won’t follow orders, which is handy because everybody from low-level gangsters to mid-level operators is busy threatening rivals or dealing drugs under forbidden noses. Gobble's Take: It’s the rare crime saga that sounds dangerous and feels like it arrived in a very neat folder.

The 2026 Emmy nominations are the conversation starter, and the scoreboard is clear: The Pitt leads with 25, Hacks has 24, Widow’s Bay has 19, and Pluribus has 18. That’s a pretty loud leaderboard for anyone tracking awards-season bragging rights.
Gobble's Take: When the nomination gap is this tight, the awards race starts feeling less like a coronation and more like a brawl.
