The Exploration Company plants a flag in Houston
The Exploration Company has opened a Rapid Innovation lab in Houston and added European Astrotech Limited, a UK-based spacecraft propulsion and fueling specialist, to its orbit of operations. The company is also building toward Nyx crew and cargo vehicles, with a full-scale mockup of the Nyx crew capsule now sitting at the center of the new lab. TEC says the Houston move gives it direct access to human-spaceflight expertise, while its U.S. entity, TEC Federal, is set up to work on government programs and contracts.
Gobble's Take: Houston is still the place where space companies go when they want to look serious about the human side of spaceflight.
