Hubble’s long arc from zero to more than six thousand

NASA says Hubble launched in 1990, when there wasn’t a single known exoplanet. Now NASA marks “more than six thousand confirmed exoplanets,” and points to Hubble’s role in helping pioneer the field by revealing atmospheres, tracing escaping gases, and uncovering exotic planets.

Hubble’s July 4 fireworks, in 13 images

NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope is celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday with “The Fourth of July Through Hubble’s Eyes,” a collection of 13 images for the nation’s 13 original colonies. The collection spans July 4 over Hubble’s 36-year history.

Hubble still has fresh star-forming eye candy

NASA is also featuring “Hubble Dazzles With Young Stars in Trifid Nebula,” describing a close-up of a star-formation region about 5,000 light-years from Earth.
