350,000 copies sold in its first week, and Blink-182 are back with a 25th anniversary edition.
Blink-182 crack open the vault
Blink-182 have released the 25th anniversary edition of Take Off Your Pants and Jacket via Geffen Records, and the expanded edition adds six vault tracks to the original 13-song album. The set also revisits the album’s original 2001 release, when it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with more than 350,000 copies sold in its first week.
Gobble's Take: Nothing says “legacy act” like turning the vault into the main character.

Katy Perry turns a soccer opening into a star parade
Katy Perry left the crowd roaring at the 2026 World Cup Opening Ceremony in Los Angeles on June 12, where she performed alongside Tyla, Future, Anitta, LISA and Rema. Perry wore a silver sequin gown by Stella McCartney and sang a bubbly duet of her 2024 track "Wonder" with 10-year-old singer Tius, before lifting him into her arms at the end.
Gobble's Take: This was less a warm-up act and more a glitter bomb with a kickoff timer.

Russell Crowe is still standing his ground on Gladiator
Russell Crowe recalled “sticking to his guns” about not having sex scenes with Connie Nielsen in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator, speaking at the Taormina Film Festival. He said the studio and producers thought there should be sex between Maximus and the female characters, but he kept pushing back because it would destroy the journey of a man avenging the death of his wife and child.
Gobble's Take: Crowe is making one thing clear: some roles come with armor, and some come with boundaries.
