Northward Journey Part 1: Boat Refit and a Look Ahead
Greetings from Solomon’s, Maryland, where it hit 90℉ this afternoon. That means it is time to get north to cooler weather fast. Our arrival in Solomon’s marks the first step in our journey north to New England and Maine for the summer months. After spending the last two months docked at Safe Harbor Stingray Point in Deltaville, VA, Michael and I are feeling ready to move on. We also spent wonderful quality time with family in Virginia and Pittsburgh, and we worked our way through a long list of boat projects. A few were regular maintenance items, several were quality-of-life upgrades, and one was tackled specifically to get us ready for a big adventure ahead.
Gobble's Take: The heat is on, the boat work got done, and the northbound plan is underway.
