Pentagon opens a fresh UFO file dump

The Pentagon began releasing more UFO and UAP files after an order from President Trump, posting the material on a new Pentagon “UFO” website. The first batch breaks down as 120 PDFs, 28 videos, and 14 image files. The mix is heavy on still images, videos, PDFs, and unresolved cases.

Some of the new material points back to Apollo-era oddities

The released photos include images tied to NASA astronaut observations from the Apollo 12 and Apollo 17 missions, including a 1969 Moon photo and a 1972 Apollo 17 image described as showing “three 'dots' in a triangular formation.” The Pentagon said the photo had been released before, but NASA and the military are reviewing the original film, and there is still no consensus about the anomaly.

Congress is still pushing for more UAP transparency

A hearing by the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets focused on “Restoring Public Trust Through UAP Transparency and Whistleblower Protection.” Members examined transparency issues involving AARO and the intelligence community, and also discussed how Congress can better protect whistleblowers with UAP information. The hearing also highlighted continued concerns about disclosure and oversight.

Gobbles Gobble's Take: The UAP debate is no longer just about what’s in the sky — it’s about who gets to keep the paperwork in the dark.
